Second Amendment question

The Second Amendment reads as follows:
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Recently there have been lots of news reports about possibly regulating what kind of weapons and ammunition should be available for public purchase. And also what a struggle it is to try to pass such regulations.
I see lots of comments on these news sites about how important the last 4 words of the 2nd amendment are and that the second amendment should not be ignored.
Most comments state something similar to the following
"What part of shall not be infringed do you not understand?"
I believe that the right to keep and bear arms is very important. And a person has the right to purchase and use a gun properly.
However, if you are going to comment on the second amendment and stress last four words "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED", Should you not also keep in mind that we should all hold with the same importance the first 4 words of the second amendment? "A WELL REGULATED MILITIA"

And one more question. What part of "being necessary to the security of a free state" are military assault weapons and ammunition designed solely for the purpose of killing human beings?

I agree with "El Tonto. " means (to me) "WELL TRAINED" not just a bunch of persons that have access to weapons to use as they seem fit (I understand how this country was formed so I am not disputing that) so they "think they know how to use them". NOW if you would like me to go on I will, but if you want to have the possession of something that could cause bodily harm/death to someone, my belief is "be prepared for the outcome if something unexpected happens because of them" and be accountable for your actions.
